Located less than an hour from Tampa in Brooksville, Florida, Sabal Palms Recovery Center is a residential treatment center that provides clinically excellent addiction treatment for adults. We offer services and therapies that can help clients who are struggling with addictions to substances such as:

At our addiction treatment center, our goal is to teach adults new skills that can help them achieve recovery. Adults in our residential program live in dorm-style lodging on our campus in Brooksville. Our campus is surrounded by oak woods and includes a pool, a lake, nature trails, a nearby river and spring, and designated areas for playing horseshoes, volleyball, tennis, and basketball. In this setting, our clients can take time for self-reflection and enjoy the serenity of nature as they participate in our addiction treatment program.  

When you receive residential addiction treatment at Sabal Palms Recovery Center, you can work with our team of specialists who provide effective care that leads to personal growth and lasting improvements. Our team includes psychiatrists, physicians, nurses, social workers, dietitians, and other professionals who specialize in treating clients who struggle with addiction. 

The typical stay in our residential program is 21-30 days, but each person’s length of stay can vary depending on their progress. When you take part in our adult residential program, you will follow a personalized care plan that is designed by our team. This care plan may include evidence-based therapies, medical care, and medication management services, depending on your needs. 

In our residential addiction treatment program, we want to help each client achieve recovery and develop skills and strategies to prevent relapse. We believe that lasting recovery is possible and that our clients can live healthy, happy lives by using the tools we help them develop during their time with us.  

Before someone receives care at our treatment center, they complete an evaluation that gives us insight into their background, symptoms, and needs. The information our team gathers during a person’s evaluation helps us create a customized treatment plan for them. A client’s treatment plan at Sabal Palms Recovery Center can include: 

• Medication management services: For those who have been prescribed medication as part of their care plan, we provide medication management services, which are delivered by psychiatric professionals. Our clients can meet daily with one of our psychiatrists. Additionally, our team of registered nurses and nurse practitioners can provide support and help you with your medication needs throughout your stay.  
• Detoxification services: For clients who arrive at our residential treatment center with addictive substances in their systems, we provide medical detoxification services. Our medical team oversees our detox program and ensures the comfort and safety of our clients as they rid their bodies of toxic chemicals. Detox services typically last around five to seven days. During this time, clients can participate in our evidence-based therapies and receive medical help that can alleviate painful withdrawal symptoms.  
• Individual therapy sessions: In an individual therapy session, a client can meet one-on-one with a social worker or licensed professional counselor. In these sessions, clients can share their feelings and receive insight and guidance that can help them heal. Individual therapy sessions are held on an as-needed basis. 
• Family therapy sessions: We understand that when a loved one is struggling with an addiction, it can impact their family. Our clients can meet with their families and our social workers or licensed practical counselors in family therapy sessions as needed. During these sessions, our staff can help family members discuss their feelings and rebuild strained interpersonal relationships. 
• Group therapy sessions: Group therapy sessions are led by licensed therapists, nurses, counselors, and mental health technicians who specialize in addiction treatment. We hold a wide variety of group therapy sessions daily. 

At Sabal Palms Recovery Center, our team provides a well-rounded range of interventions designed to help our clients achieve recovery. In our residential addiction treatment program, we typically provide six hours of therapy each day. Therapy sessions include education and discussions on topics such as: 

• The principles of the 12-Step program 
• Coping skills 
• Triggers 
• Life skills 
• Medication education 
• Co-occurring mental health concerns 
• Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) 

In our residential addiction treatment program, clients live alongside their peers in a safe and supportive environment where they can benefit from structured staff oversight. Residential programming typically lasts longer than inpatient programming, which gives clients the chance to spend more time forming a foundation for lasting recovery.  

A major part of our clients’ treatment plans is daily group therapy sessions, which allow clients to share their experiences and support with their peers. The chance to form a supportive social network can be a valuable part of a client’s experience in a residential program. Clients often meet peers at our treatment center who continue to share support even after they have left our care. 

In our residential treatment program, clients receive customized care that is based on their background and needs.
